We are an approved vendor for Heartland Charter School. However, any family enrolled in an alternative charter is welcome to attend our program. You may pay privately for our program as well.

We are primarily an academic program, but we love to make learning come to life! We introduce grade level concepts in the four core subject areas of math, language arts, social studies, and science. We also emphasize character development and focus on a specific virtue each month, such as gratitude, respect, and self-control.

We offer classes for Kindergarten through high school.

Absolutely!  We love parent volunteers and there are many opportunities to be involved throughout the program year.

No, all work that is completed in class is sent home for parents to review and grade.

Yes, the safety and security of our students is important to us. We require all staff to pass a U.S. Department of Justice Live Scan prior to beginning employment with A&A.

Devices must be kept in the student’s backpack, on silent or turned off, while at A&A. Our goal each program day is to improve communication skills, create relationships, and build community. Smart devices impede this process.

Our program runs from September through May.  We do not meet during Thanksgiving week, winter break (3 weeks), and spring break.

A&A loans the literature books to students each month so that families can complete any assigned at-home reading. All curriculum utilized in the classroom during program days is also provided. We do provide a suggested list of curriculum for use on the at-home days. These additional curriculum pieces are the financial responsibility of the parent. We outline and share our suggested curriculum plan with families upon enrollment.

We are an academic program and while we have fun and learn in a hands-on way, our focus is on academics and not simply on providing an enrichment experience. Our goal is to partner with you in your homeschooling journey.  We are a learning community that works together to cultivate character, inspire creative thinking, challenge one another to learn new things, and so much more!

Students in our community must be able to independently manage their behavior in a classroom setting as well as actively participate in all classroom activities and projects. If you have concerns, regarding your student, in this area, please reach out prior to completing the registration application.
